Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Cornell University seeks to hire a
lecturer/senior lecturer (rank will depend on experience) to teach all
levels of American Sign Language, and to assist with course
development, and use of technology to enhance learning. This is a
full-time three-year appointment with the possibility of reappointment
contingent upon a successful review and continuing needs. The teaching
load is six courses per year of elementary through advanced language
courses.  Candidates should hold a minimum of an MA in Teaching ASL or
a related field.  Preference will be given to candidates with evidence
of at least two years of language teaching at the university level.
Those with knowledge of Deaf culture are encouraged to apply.  English
proficiency and ASL native-equivalent fluency is required.

Pay Range: $49,700 - $164,000
Actual salary offers in the College of Arts and Sciences will be based
