Greetings, Linguist List!

We are here with your midweek challenge update and the race is just
getting started! We have reached $8,459 but we must keep pushing
towards our $30,000 goal. Keep those donations coming so that we can
continue to serve you!

Now let us turn to the challenges, where we have seen quite some
change!

In our Subfield Challenge, Phonology has been dethroned! Syntax, with
$1,175 has overtaken our two-week leaders, who are now in second place
with $946. Nearly tied for third place we have Sociolinguistics and
Discourse analysis at $670 dollars! Any subfield could win! Don’t let
yours fall behind!

In our University Challenge, Wayne State holds the lead, followed by
what is nearly a three-way tie for third between Arizona State
University, University of Alaska Anchorage, and Indiana University
Bloomington! We are also joined by Keio University, Universitet i
Agder, and more! Don’t see your university? Talk to your department
head and coworkers and get a donation so that you can represent!

Lastly, In our Country Challenge, United States still holds the lead,
followed by Spain with $403, Germany with $362, and Canada with $317.
Keep those donations coming in and someone catch up to the United
States!

We are halfway through the Fundrive but we are not halfway to our
goal! We urgently need donations to keep Linguist List working! Every
dollar counts!
