Description:

The CRC 1646 is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and
investigates linguistic creativity in communication from a range of
different perspectives. The offered PostDoc position is associated
with the central coordination of the CRC (project Z, 50%), including
its integrated research training group (project RTG, 50 %). Project
RTG organises and coordinates the activities of the research training
group supporting the SFB's early career researchers (PhDs and
postdocs) in their scientific qualification and their career planning.

Your Tasks

Administrative and coordinating support of the CRC management
committee (project Z, 50%), e. g.
 - organising events, responsibility for CRC-internal communication
 - assisting the spokespersons in meetings of the management committee
and their preparation
 - overseeing finances
Organisation, coordination and evaluation of the activities of the SFB
Graduate School (project RTG, 50%)

Your Profile

We expect:
 - relevant, successfully completed scientific university degree (e.
g. Master or Diploma)
 - doctoral degree (by employment date) in linguistics or a related
field
 - excellent written and spoken English
 - cooperative and team-oriented working style
 - good communication and coordination skills
 - the ability to take initiative and work independently
 - strong organizational and coordination skills
 - good presentation skills

Preferred experience and skills:
 - qualification in the profile as specified in the project
descriptions for RTG and Z here
 - experience in various linguistic research methods
 - experience in research management
 - experience in the organisation of workshops and conferences
 - experience in science communication
 - experience in mentoring
 - interest in working in a larger interdisciplinary research
initiative
 - basic knowledge of German or willingness to learn German
