The Centre de Recherches Linguistiques sur l’Asie Orientale (CRLAO) is
pleased to announce that the 37th Paris Meeting on East Asian
Linguistics (JLAO37) will be held in Paris, July 04 and 05, 2024 at
Inalco (Paris).
All the sub-disciplines of linguistics are represented, including:
- diachronic or synchronic linguistics
- phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics
- writing system
- field linguistics
- theoretical linguistics
- dialectology
- typology
- L1 acquisition, heritage language acquisition, L2 acquisition
(description of the linguistic system of non-native speakers)
Speakers are invited to submit an abstract of up to 700 words
(including examples and references), in English or French, about one
of the East Asian languages.

The deadline for receipt of abstracts: 24/03/2024

Since 1985, the JLAO has been a forum for scientific exchange. They
have welcomed some of the greatest names in the linguistics of East
Asian languages, and each year enable researchers and students to
present their work on East Asian languages. All the sub-disciplines of
linguistics are represented, including: - diachronic or synchronic
linguistics - phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics – writing
system - field linguistics - theoretical linguistics - dialectology -
typology - L1 acquisition, heritage language acquisition, L2
acquisition (description of the linguistic system of non-native
speakers).
