hearing loss and its
connection to the processing and/or acquisition of language.
Examples for topics of interest:
Hearing in multilingual listeners
How does hearing affect language understanding?
How does hearing impairment affects language acquisition?
How do language related factors affect intelligibility.

Call for Papers:

An interdisciplinary workshop on the interaction of auditory and
language processes

Deadline for abstract submissions: March 24, 2024
Please submit your abstracts for a talk to:
hkarawani at staff.haifa.ac.il or esther.ruigendijk at uni-oldenburg.de

Abstract acceptance announcements: April 5, 2024
Program details and registration link will be sent out on April 10,
2024.

We particularly encourage contributions focusing on hearing and
hearing loss and its
connection to the processing and/or acquisition of language.

Each talk will be structured as follows: 20 minutes talk + 10 minutes
for discussion.

Specific details on abstract submission by email:
• List in the subject: “Abstract submission from Hearing to
Understanding Workshop”.
• Attached word/pdf document including the abstract.
The document should include:
• Title
• Author list with the order preferred + affiliations.
• Presenting author details, email (+phone number).
• One or more abstracts can be submitted from each author.
• Abstracts written in English
• 1000-word limit.
