Description:

The Program in Linguistics at Princeton University may have a need for
one or more American Sign Language Lecturers to teach undergraduate
courses in the 2024-25 academic year. The positions require in-person
teaching, grading student work, and holding regular on-campus office
hours. Appointments and position duty time are subject to enrollments,
with the potential for renewal depending on departmental need and
satisfactory performance. Positions are expected to begin September 1,
2024, or January 16, 2025.

The ideal candidates would be experienced ASL instructors who are
native or near-native in ASL, have an extensive knowledge of Deaf
culture, and have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching.

Interested candidates must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae,
teaching statement, and contact information for at least three
references at the link below. The cover letter should include a link
to a video of the applicant signing in ASL; this can be a signed
version of the cover letter itself, or some other sample of similar
length.

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until
a final decision is made.

This position is subject to the University's background check policy.

The work location for this position is in-person on campus at
Princeton University.
