Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Cornell University invites
applications for a one-year visiting lectureship in Linguistics. The
lecturer will teach three courses per semester that will include
Introduction to Linguistics (in both the fall and spring semesters),
Introduction to Historical Linguistics (in the spring), and Language
and Society (in the fall).  The two remaining undergraduate courses
will be determined on the basis of the Department’s needs and the
candidate’s expertise.

Requirements include a Ph.D. in Linguistics in hand prior to the start
of the appointment, a strong background in historical linguistics, and
demonstrated excellence in teaching.
