JALT2024 will be held November 15-18, 2024, in the city of Shizuoka,
in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. JALT is the Japan affiliate
organization of TESOL, Inc. and IATEFL. Every year since 1975, JALT
has organized a conference intended to bring together the language
teaching and learning communities not only within Japan, but also
around the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Now one of the pre-eminent
conferences on language teaching and learning, the JALT International
Conference showcases research by experienced scholars and young
academics, as well as the most current in educational materials, all
with the vision and focus of forwarding the community in which they
are engaged. The JALT International Conference, both continues to be a
place where teachers, researchers, and organizations come together in
common purpose to nurture, develop and advance our professional
learning community.

Conference presentation proposals will be accepted until March 10th,
2024 for research-oriented presentations, practice-oriented workshops,
posters, professional development workshops, and educational
technology workshops. Non-JALT members are welcome to submit. You do
not have to be a JALT member to present at the conference, though the
conference fees for JALT members are less than for nonmembers.
Noncommercial presenters at JALT2024 can submit a paper based on their
presentation for publication in the peer reviewed 2025 Postconference
Publication, Moving JALT into the Future: Opportunity, Diversity, and
Excellence.
