Meeting Description:

This conference supports research on all aspects of Amazonian
languages, including, but not limited to: phonetics, phonology,
morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics,
historical linguistics, linguistic anthropology, discourse analysis,
and language maintenance and revitalization.

Call for Papers:

The 5th Symposium on Amazonian Languages (SAL 5) will take place March
29-30, 2024 at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. We welcome
abstract submissions of 500 words on any topic related to Amazonian
linguistics, including, but not limited to: phonetics, phonology,
morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics,
historical linguistics, linguistic anthropology, discourse analysis,
and language maintenance and revitalization. Please send your
abstracts to sympamazlang at gmail.com by January 31. Notifications of
acceptance will be sent out by February 15. Registration for the
conference will be free.
