Meeting Description:

The Spring School on Language Contact with Lenore Grenoble (University
of Chicago) will take place from April 16th to 18th at the Slavic
Institute/newly founded Institute for East European Studies of the
University of Zurich, Switzerland. The Spring School is organized by
Cristiana Lucchetti and financed through a Short Grant of the UZH
Graduate Campus. Participation is free of charge.

The Spring School includes a variety of events all centered around the
topic of language contact in Slavic and other languages. Next to one
intensive workshop on language contact and two lectures, all
participants will have the opportunity to discuss their research
projects during informal consultations with Lenore Grenoble, one of
the leading experts on language contact, change and endangerment.

Students, PhDs and PostDocs in all fields of linguistics from the
University of Zurich and beyond are warmly welcome to join this event
series and profit from this unique chance of scientific exchange.
