Subject: African American English speakers sought for short recording (20 Euros/c. $ 21 compensation)

Dear all,

As part of the ERASMUS+ project “Counteracting accent dIscrimination
pRactiCes in Education” (https://www.circe-project.eu/), we will
investigate attitudes to accents of English and accents of several
other European languages through accent perception studies. At the end
of the project, all materials will be made available to the research
community and we invite other researchers to use them.

We are currently looking for speakers of *African American English*
who are willing to record themselves reading a very short (one
paragraph) reading passage. The speakers should be between 18 and 25
years of age (approximately).

Speakers will be compensated with 20 Euros / approximately $ 21. We
would be very grateful if you could forward this information to your
students or anyone else who you think might be willing to help us and
donate a recording of their voice for this research. Anyone interested
should please contact us at philipp.meer at uni-muenster.de.

Best wishes,
Philipp
