Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW: Search specialists in the Linguistics, Analytics,
and Data Science group at ProSearch discover information hidden in
vast amounts of text data to support the custom search, technology
assisted review (TAR), and information retrieval needs of our clients.
A Search Specialist is responsible for aligning the search results
from different tools and helping deliver work products that meet the
clients’ review goals. Additionally, Search Specialists work closely
with Data Analysts in providing search support and implementing
machine learning programs as part of our current information retrieval
workflow.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 - Understand document review goals and project constraints.
 - Understand and document the use of common search engines for
discovery (for both in-house and third-party tools).
 - Develop business processes and documentation to support review
goals when multiple search engines are involved.
 - Assist Data Scientists in building test datasets.
 - Work closely with Data Scientists to refine annotation guidelines,
design quality control methodology, and contribute to workflow
improvements.
 - Propose and run research experiments around linguistic phenomena.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 - Eligibility to work in the United States.
 - Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g., Linguistics,
Library and Information Science, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human
Language Technology, Statistics, Mathematics).
 - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 - Ability to adapt to changing requirements, priorities, and
revisions.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 - Experience with large datasets and/or working in a laboratory
setting.
 - Familiarity with programming languages.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 - Repetitive movement of hands and fingers-typing and/or writing.
 - Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a
computer terminal, extensive reading.
 - Occasional standing and walking.


The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list
and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to
time; or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business
demands.

Schedule - FLEX
Compensation: $25-$35/hour
