Call for Papers:

Massimiliano Demata (University of Turin) and Natalia Knoblock
(Saginaw Valley State University), the editors of the Journal of
Language and Discrimination
(https://journal.equinoxpub.com/index.php/JLD/index), are inviting
special issue proposals for 2026. Prospective guest editors should
email the description of the special issue theme and abstracts of
proposed articles to massimiliano.demata at unito.it and
nlknoblo at svsu.edu.

The themes of special issues might include: language and class;
religious language discrimination; antisemitism; islamophobia;
language and ageism; racist language; drug/alcohol users and language;
fat shaming; language and social justice; migration policies and
language analysis; the language of terrorism; animal rights and
language; minority languages; education and 2nd language learners;
challenging linguistic stereotypes; hate speech; freedom of speech and
more.
