Subject: Arabic, Polish and Turkish L2 German speakers - short recording with compensation

We are looking for speakers of German as a Second Language with
*Arabic, Polish or Turkish* as L1 who are willing to record themselves
reading a very short (one paragraph) reading passage. Their level of
English should be at least B2. We are looking for speakers with a
noticeable (but not extreme) accent. Speakers will be compensated with
10 Euros.

Finally, some background on the project: This is initiative is part of
the ERASMUS+ project “Counteracting accent dIscrimination pRactiCes in
Education” (https://www.circe-project.eu/), which investigates
attitudes to varieties of English and varieties of several other
European languages through Verbal Guise Tests. At the end of the
project, all materials for the Verbal Guise Tests will be made
available to the research community and we invite other researchers to
use them.

Those interested should contact Prof. Robert Fuchs, University of Bonn
(Germany), at rfuchs at uni-bonn.de
