LECTURESHIP (with possibility of appointment at SL/Reader level)

The person appointed to this PERMANENT post will be required to undertake
leading-edge research and teaching of the highest standard within our
broadly
based degree programmes. Preference will be given to candidates who
strengthen
our existing activities. The School is active in and encourages
multidisciplinary activities; applications are welcome from candidates who
have an interest in multidisciplinary informatics.

Salary will be on the Lecturer A/B scales (currently £17,238 to £30,065)
or at Senior Lecturer or Reader level (currently £17,238 to £30,065).

LECTURER IN EDUCATION (TESOL)
with a specialism in Teaching English to Young Learners

Available from 1st February 2000, for a fixed period of three years in the
first instance, to contribute to the development of a BA Educational Studies
(TESOL) programme for teachers of English in the Sultanate of Oman. You will
have experience in teacher education and an established specialist research
area with evidence of, or with the potential to produce, high-quality
publications; applications are welcome from people at the early stages of an
academic career wishing to develop a specialist research area.
