2ème Appel à communication (english CFP at the bottom of this message)

   Les 5^èmes Journées d'Études Linguistiques de Nantes (JEL'2007)
   auront lieu les 27 et 28 juin 2007. Elles seront organisées par
   [13]Olivier Crouzet et [14]Jean-Pierre Angoujard du Laboratoire de
   Linguistique de Nantes (LLING - EA3827). Dans le cadre historique
   (et amical) des confrontations nantaises entre phonéticiens et
   phonologues, le thème et titre de ces journées sera "Schwa(s)".

   Vous êtes convié(e)s à proposer des résumés (2 pages maximum,
   bibliographie incluse, format A4) sur toute question ayant un lien
   avec l'objet "schwa":
     * Nature(s) du schwa en français et en toute autre langue ;
     * Schwa et voyelles centrales ;
     * Schwa et "positions vides" ;
     * Quelle "substance" pour les positions vides ;
     * Diachronie : histoire(s) de schwa(s) ;
     * Dialectologie, usages du schwa ;
     * Analyses instrumentales (articulatoire ou acoustique) des schwas
       et consonnes associées ;
     * Traitement des schwas en synthèse vocale ;
     * Mécanismes perceptifs relatifs aux schwas et aux consonnes
       associées ;
     * Schwas et processus d'appariement lexical ;
     * etc.

Soumission

   La date limite de soumission de vos résumés est fixée au Lundi 18
   Décembre 2006.

   Envoyer un résumé anonyme de 2 pages (A4, times 12) au format PDF
   incluant le titre de votre proposition de communication à l'adresse
   [16]jel2007 at univ-nantes.fr.

   Votre texte sera rédigé en anglais ou en français sans indication des
   auteurs. Vous enverrez ce document PDF à l'adresse
   [17]jel2007 at univ-nantes.fr en indiquant, dans le corps de votre
   message :
     * l'adresse électronique de l'auteur à contacter;
     * le(s) nom(s) du (des) auteur(s);
     * l'affiliation de chaque auteur;
     * leur adresse;
     * le titre de la communication proposée.

   Les noms des auteurs et leur affiliation doivent uniquement apparaître
   dans le corps du message, pas dans le document PDF.

   Si vous soumettez plusieurs communications, veuillez les transmettre
   indépendamment l'une de l'autre.

   Les résumés seront évalués anonymement par le comité scientifique. Les
   évaluations seront jointes à la décision d'acceptation / rejet.

   Pour la soumission des articles définitifs en vue de l'inclusion dans
   les actes, des styles OpenOffice, Word et LaTeX seront mis à la
   disposition des auteurs sur le site du colloque. Les articles
   définitifs devront être fournis au format PDF.

Calendrier

     * Date limite de soumission : 18 Décembre 2006
     * Notification des acceptations: 30 Mars 2007
     * Réception des articles définitifs: 21 Mai 2007
     * Programme préliminaire: 4 Juin 2007
     * Colloque (JEL'2007): 27-28 juin 2007.

   première [18]Journée d'Études Gallèses (JEG'2007). Pour cette

2nd Call for papers

   The 5th Journées d'Études Linguistiques de Nantes (JEL'2007) will
   take place on 27th and 28th, June 2007. They will be organized by
   [13]Olivier Crouzet and [14]Jean-Pierre Angoujard (Laboratoire de
   Linguistique de Nantes, LLING - EA3827). In the historical (and
   friendly) context of discussion that has taken place regularly in
   Nantes between phoneticians and phonologists, the theme and title
   of this workshop will be : "Schwa(s)".

   You're invited to submit a summary (maximum 2 pages, including
   references, A4 paper) about any issue related to "schwa(s)" :
     * Nature of schwa in French and in any other language;
     * Schwa and central vowels;
     * Schwa and "empty positions";
     * "Substance" of empty positions;
     * Phonological change, [hi]storie(s) of schwa(s);
     * Dialectology, usage of schwa;
     * Instrumental (articulatory or acoustic) analyses of schwas and
       associated consonants;
     * Treatment of schwa(s) in speech synthesis;
     * Perceptual mechanisms relating to schwas and associated
       consonants;
     * Recognition of words including schwas;
     * etc.

Submission

   The submission deadline is Monday, December 18th 2006.

   Send an anonymous two page abstract (A4, times 12) in PDF format
   including the title of the proposed communication at the following

   Your text will be written in either english or french with no
   indication of authors. This PDF document will be sent to the following
   email address : [17]jel2007 at univ-nantes.fr, the body of your message
   will include :
     * the e-mail address to which communications should be sent;
     * the author(s)' name(s);
     * the author(s)' affiliation(s)';
     * the author(s)' address;
     * the title of the communication.

   The author(s)' name(s) and affiliation(s) should only appear in the
   body of your e-mail, not in the PDF document.

   If you wish to submit several proposals, please do this in separate
   e-mails.

   The proposals will be evaluated anonymously by the scientific
   committee. Evaluations will be sent along with the acceptance /
   rejection decision.

   For the inclusion of final papers into the conference proceedings,
   word processing styles (for OpenOffice / Word and LaTeX) will be
   provided to the authors.
