"Input and output restrictions of weighted synchronous grammars" :

We consider the problem of restricting the input or output of a
synchronous grammar. Whereas solutions are easy to achieve in the
unweighted case, complications arise for weighted and probabilistic
grammars, especially when a compact representation is required. We also
consider the problem of computing prefix probabilities, as a special
case of restricting the input of a synchronous grammar to a regular
string language. The emphasis will be on synchronous tree adjoining
grammars, but also linear context-free rewriting systems will be
addressed.
