--- General Information ---

Paper format

From this year on, a new paper format will be used: 4 pages of text plus
one page (maximum) for references only. This will facilitate the
sometimes difficult arbitration between work description and citation
coverage.

Paper submission procedure

Authors will be asked to determine to which topic(s) their contributions
relates (see list of areas and topics on the website) and/or if they
wish to contribute to a special session (see list below). Each paper
proposal will be reviewed by at least three specialists of the area to
which it belongs. Papers must be submitted via the on-line paper
submission system, accessible through the conference website.

Registration fees and conference costs

Early registration fees for full-delegate ISCA members are set to 520 €,
including the conference banquet. Students will benefit from a reduced
rate of 50% (i.e. 260 €). In order to keep overall costs low, an
accomodation package will be proposed to students, in the range of 250 €
for 5 nights + breakfast. Grants will also be available, to further
reduce financial burden.

--- Call for Show & Tell ---
and other Special Events

Call for Show & Tell
Submission Deadline: April 19, 2013

Notification of acceptance: May 22, 2013

Show & Tell is a special event organized during the conference, where
participants are given the opportunity to demonstrate their most recent
progress, developments or innovation tracks, and interact with the
conference attendees in an informal way, such as a talk, a poster, a
mockup, a demo, or any adapted format of their own choice. These
contributions usually (but do not have to) relate to a paper and they
must highlight the innovative side of the concept.

Each proposition for the Show & Tell sessions will be peer-reviewed. The
originality, significance, quality, and clarity of each submission will
be evaluated.

To participate to the Show & Tell, submit a 2-page proposal (in pdf
format) describing the concept from the technical point-of-view, its
innovative side and the format under which you intend to present it.
Authors are allowed to include, in the pdf proposal, links to web pages.
Proposal should be submitted to the following e-mail address:
is13-showntell at inria.fr

Each accepted Show & Tell will be allocated 2 pages maximum in the
conference proceedings, plus the possibility to include some multimedia
content. At least one author of each accepted submission must register
to the conference and demonstrate the system during the Show & Tell
sessions.

A Google Show & Tell Prize of 500 Euros will be awarded to the most
innovative participation.

Other Special Events:

Colleagues are invited to propose other special events. See the website
for more info on the expected format. An example of such Special Event
is the Computational Paralinguistics Challenge.

All new proposals of innovative events will be warmly welcomed and
carefully considered, so be imaginative ! Initiatives from young
researchers will be specifically encouraged and supported.
