We are particularly </div><div>seeking workshops presenting up and coming novel ideas in the field of AI with opportunity to </div><div>crystalize new communities outside the main common stream of AI. </div><div><br></div><div>The main goal of the AI’2013 workshops is to facilitate active interchange of ideas both theoretical </div><div>and applied, in the general areas related to Artificial Intelligence. The workshops will provide an </div><div>informal setting where participants will have the opportunity to discuss specific technical topics in </div><div>an atmosphere that fosters such exchanges.</div><div><br></div><div>The workshop organizers will be responsible for advertising the workshop, forming the program committee, </div><div>reviewing and selecting papers in a transparent way, and deciding on the final program. Workshop </div><div>organizers will also be responsible for publishing their own proceedings.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Workshops may be full-day or half-day. A full-day workshop should ideally include between 10-12 regular </div><div>papers, while a half-day workshop would consist of 5-6 regular papers.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>A workshop proposal should include the following information:</div><div><br></div><div>1- The name of the workshop.</div><div>2- The names, addresses, and a short bio of the organizers.</div><div>3- Scope, topics, and a brief description of the technical issues that the workshop will address, and the </div><div> reasons why the workshop is of interest at this time.</div><div>4- The names of potential program committee members (could be tentative PC) [optional].</div><div>5- The planned format of the workshop (papers, demos, panels, etc.)</div><div>7- The names of the potential keynote speakers [optional], if a keynote speech is included in the </div><div> planned format of the workshop.</div><div>8- If applicable, a description of past versions of the workshop, including dates, organizers, number </div><div> of submitted and accepted papers, number of attendees.</div><div>9- An estimate of the expected number of submitted and accepted papers, and of the expected number of </div><div> attendees.</div><div>10-A description of the plans for publicity (CFP, submission and notification deadlines, etc.)</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>The deadlines for the workshpop proposals are as follows:</div><div><br></div><div>Workshop proposal submission: Jan 16, 2013</div><div>Notification of acceptance of proposal: Jan 21, 2013</div><div>Workshop: May 28, 2013</div><div><br></div><div>Workshop proposals or inquiries should be sent to the AI-2013 Program co-chairs: </div><div>Sandra Zilles, zilles AT <a href="http://cs.uregina.ca/">cs.uregina.ca</a>, and Osmar Zaiane, zaiane AT <a href="http://cs.ualberta.ca/">cs.ualberta.ca</a></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>We look forward to receiving your proposal !</div><div><br></div><div>Sandra Zilles and Osmar Zaiane</div><div>AI-2013 Program co-chairs</div><div><br></div></body></html>
