Zoals veel lezers waarschijnlijk al wel vermoedden, bedoelde ik
eigenlijk te vragen: of "es" en "eswallen" in de "Drentse" betekenis
etymologisch verband houden met de boom genaamd "es", of dat dit
historisch juist geheel verschillende begrippen zijn.
