From: Roger Thijs [Roger.Thijs at village.uunet.be]
Subject: Language confusion

Read today in the Teletekst pages of the NOS (Dutch TV programmes
"Nederland 1", "Nederland 2" and "Nederland 3"; in the air and on cable in
the Netherlands and in Belgium), page 120 2/2:

Straatsburg. In de perszaal van het Europees parlement in Straatsburg is in
het tolkensysteem wel de taal Vlaams te kiezen maar niet Nederlands. Een
aantal Nederlandse EP's overweegt stappen.

Well, it dates from the 16th century when the language standard came from
the South. What about this return to the roots?

Regards,
Roger
