Justin,

Certainly "take it to your hide" (or better here "tak it tae yer hied") and
"leave the door to" ("lea tha duir tae") are common in Ulster-Scots, which
only serves to indicate the close relationship between Ulster-Scots and
Appalachian.

In Scots the second expression would be "Leave the door atae".

I've never heard anything corresponding to the first expression. "Loose" in
Scots is "lowss" [lAus], but I've never heard it applied to a door. (I
prefer to spell "lowss" with the double "s" to destinguish it from "lowse"
[lAuz] = "loosen".)
