Subject: Online Resources

(The following is in Scots and in English)

Ma wabsteid's flittit tae http:\\scotstext.org an haes a muckle rowth o new
stuff - aathegither it comes tae twa novels, 99 short stories, hunders o
poems an sangs, a muckle beukfu proverbs an ae muckle play. An the guid
thing is it's vernear aa in Scots, though A hinna been abuin pittin in a
bittie English here an thare if A'v thocht on't as gey speecial.

A'v made the navigation as strechtforrit as I could this time, an no clartit
the text pages theirsels wi hypertext, tho this dis mean ye'll hae tae uize
yer "back" button nou an again.

An for a idea o what's ower and ayont, tak a keek at the first twa Robert
Louis Stevenson poems - try haudin the moose pynter ower the text an see
what happens. Gey guid, eh? Ye can see this is juist a wee start tae a
everlestin darg, but gey worth o daein, A think. A'll try an get mair o'd
duin whan A can. Aa this an still nae page o airtins!

Dinna read ower muckle, nou!

My website has moved to http:\\scotstext.org and has loads of new stuff -
altogether it comes to two novels, 99 short stories, hundreds of poems and
songs, a big book of proverbs and one huge play. And the best of it is that
it's nearly all in Scots, although I haven't been above putting in a little
English here and there when I've thought it had particular merit.

I've made the navigation as straightforward as possible this time, and
avoided messing the actual texts with links, although this means you'll have
to use your "back" button occasinally.

And for a taste of things to come, take a look at the first two Robert Louis
Stevenson poems - try holding the mouse pointer over the text and seeing
what happens. Useful, isn't it? You can see that this is just a bare start
to a never-ending project, but well worth doing, I think. I'll try to get
more done whenever I can. All this and still no links page!

Enjoy!
