Beste Ron,

Ja, Winterswijks is één van de vele Achterhoekse dialecten.
Mijn vrouw komt uit Aalten, daar negen kilometer vandaan.
Mijn zwager en schoonzus wonen in Winterswijk.

Wij zijn in het bezit van een paar delen (twee boeken) van de serie
'Woordenboek van de Achterhoekse en Liemerse dialecten', uitgegeven
door het Staring Instituut in Doetinchem. Het één is getiteld 'De mens' en
het ander 'De mens en zien huus'.

De Achterhoek en de Liemers zijn beide onderdeel van de provincie
Gelderland. De twee gebieden grenzen aan elkaar. Ik schat de grootte van het
totale gebied op 70 bij 50 km.

Uiteraard spreekt mijn vrouw vloeiend Achterhoeks!
