Geachte,

De Nederlandse tegenhanger van klabatschen is "klabetteren"; Guido Gezelle
gebruikte zelfs het woord "klabetter-meulen" voor een horizontale windmolen
met uitslaande wieken. Klabetteren heeft niets te zien met het kletsend
geluid van een zweep, maar wel met een grover klapperend en regelmatig
herhalend geluid.

Terloops wil ik er ook op wijzen dat in de Vlaamse dialecten ook nog het
woord "kordeel" (tegenover kardeel) gebruikt wordt voor het mennen van een
ingespannen boerepaard.
