n an episode of "Friends" the characters and audience were amused by the
fact that Londoners indulge in "riding the Tube", a phrase not in fact used

here but presumably meaning "going by Tube" or "travelling by Underground".

What is the different meaning of the words to an American audience? Please
reply directly to spare Ron's blushes if it is obscene.
