I think Ron is right, _slikke_ is probably an LS loan-word in Danish and
Swedish. But when it comes to _sleg_ in Jutish, as e.g. in _slegfinger_ for
the
index-finger, then there is possibility that it is directly inherited from Old
Norse _sleikja_

Dat is gediegen, dat bie Ju de Wiesfinger "Bottallekja" heett!  In 'n Barg
noord-neddersassische (noord- nedderdüütsche) Mundaarden vun Noorddüütschland
hett dat Woord "Botterlicker" ~ "Botterlecker" ~ "Butterlicker" 'n anner
Bedüden.  Dat bedüüdt, wat Jie in't mennonietsche Plattdüütsch
("Plautdietsch") "Sommafoagel" nöömt.  Dat kann ook so 'n grote, fladuuste
Haarslööp bedüden, de de lütten Deerns dunntomaals drögen (un as se 't noch
vundagigendaags in Russland, de Ukrain, Zentraal-Asien, China u.s.w. draagt).
In't Missingsch (d.h. in düütsche Mundaarden up neddersassisch Substraat) un
in annere noorddüütsche Mundaarden hett _Butterlecker_ man bloots düt Bedüden
"Haarslööp, de 'n Botterlicker liekt" (un dat Deert heett _Schmetterling_).
Wat Jie "Sommafoagel" nöömt, dat heett in annere neddersassische Mundaarden
ook "Summervagel", annerwegens "Bottervagel", "Fleerling" or "Flerrling".

It is interesting that in your dialect you call 'forefinger'/'index finger'
_Bottallekja_ ("butter licker")!  In many Northern Low Saxon (Northern Low
German) dialects of Northern Germany, the word _Botterlicker_ ~ _Botterlecker_
~ _Butterlicker_ means something different.  It denotes what you in Mennonite
Low Saxon ("Plautdietsch") call _Sommafoagel_ ("summer bird"), namely
'butterfly'.  It may also be used to refer to a large, puffed-up bow little
girls used to wear in their hair (and still do in Russia, Ukraine, Central
Asia, China etc.).  In Missingsch (i.e., German dialects on Low Saxon
substrates) and in other Northern German dialects _Butterlecker_ only means
'bow in a hair ribbon in the shape of a butterfly' (and the actual animal is
called _Schmetterling_ 'butterfly').  What you call _Sommafoagel_ (i.e.,
'butterfly') corresponds not only to _Botterlicker_ ~ _Botterlecker_ ~
_Butterlicker_ but in some dialects also to _Summervagel_ ("summer bird"),
elsewhere to _Bottervagel_ ("butter bird"), _Fleerling_ or _Flerrling_.
