I'd say "jeely" is still quite widespread (sorry... :) in Scots,
and I've never thought of it as the same thing as jam. Jam is
unstrained, whereas jeely is made by straining the boiled fruit/
sugar/pectin through a heavy muslin bag overnight so that it has
a smooth, translucent, jelly-like texture.

By far the most usual is "brummle jeely" (brummle=blackberry),
which in these days of factory rather than home-produced goods
is sold cognate-wise as "bramble jelly" even in England - a
definite use of Scots there as both cognates mean different
things in British English!
