Hello.

     This reminds me of the Cretan grandfather of one of my classmates at
seminary who would send Tsalaki (Charles + Cretan diminuitive form
-aki... his baptismal name was Kosta) to the store for sweets and those
"ligo paiakides," (little pies). Even the English word Pie got the
diminuitive.
     Funny little world, this place. I never met the old man. I just
heard the stories from his grandson. When I think of the man I never met,
I smile. But his grandson I never liked.
