Actually, the form _jek_ can only be heard in the region around (indeed)
Kerkrade (Kirchroa) in the south-easternmost point of Dutch Limburg (see
map:
http://httpd.chello.nl/~w.vanwoerkom/krant/kaart_limburg.htm). In the
rest of
Limburg, it is pronounced _gek_.
The pronouncing of the _g_ as _j_ is typical for this dialect (Kerkrade
and
surroundings) as well as for the dialects in the Rhineland area
(Cologne,
Aachen):

general Limburgish - Kerkrade dialect
----------------------------------------
't is good gegange - 't is jood jejange

Interesting to know, the dictionary of Kerkrade (Kirchröadsjer
Dieksjoneer) is
said to be the only dictionary in the world without the letter _g_ in
it.

Anyone who would like to read this dialect, look at
http://www.uitgeverijtic.nl/tiedsjrifonline.htm . There are two
varieties of
Limburgish there, one in general Limburgish, the other in Kerkrade
dialect:
general Limburgish: - Kerkrade dialect
----------------------------------------
Wae zich gerope veult - Weë ziech jeróffe veult

As you can see, the dialect of Kerkrade has a lot more high-German
elements...

Regards,
Mathieu
