Subject: ISO Codes for languages

I saw Walloon got it's "ISO code" (first message below)
I drew the attention of the e-mail address holder of the ISO website of
the existence of "Limburgish". (second message below)

Does anybody have an idea what is the proper procedure for getting a
languages's name ISO-coded?

Regards,
Roger

Dear Mr. Saratxaga:

approved your request for ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-1 codes for Walloon.
ISO 639-2 wln

We will be adding it to the official list of codes on the ISO 639-2 Web

I see "Limburgish" is not yet coded in the list.
http://lcweb.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/codechanges.html

It is spoken in the both provinces with the name of "Limburg" one in
Belgium, the other in the Netherlands.

"Limburgish" is recognised by the Dutch government as a regional
language in the Netherlands. In Belgium it is promoted by the
provincial government of Belgian Limburg.
