Not only Americans, Erek. Thanks for taking my "lecture" so well.
After all, words (including misunderstood words) have a lot of power,
this is a very international list (with subscribers in many countries,
including France), and the very subject matters we deal with require us
to look and reach out beyond administrative boundaries.

So have many other governments.

I am glad you feel that way. Your participation is certainly
appreciated. Sometimes (such as in the latest exchange between you and
Ed about the names of wars) it is necessary to agree to disagree.
Concensus is not a requirement on this list. One of the things I have
gained from being involved with this list is learning more intensively
how to be more tolerant and compassionate.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome those who joined
us during the past few days, from Algeria (Ouamri), Colombia (Cali),
France (?), Germany (Berlin), Netherlands (Tolkamer), and South Africa
(Johannesburg).

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
