[English below]

¡Ay! ¡Casi me olvidé!

partes!

Respeto,
Reinhard/Ron

Oops! I nearly forgot! (I already celebrated on Friday this year.) But
the day isn't over yet in this part of the world ...

On behalf of all Lowlands-L subscribers, greetings and best wishes to
our friends that celebrate the Fifth of May!

The Fifth of May is a very important date in Mexican, Mexican-American
and other Spanish-speaking American communities. Many non-Hispanic
Americans also celebrate it. It marks the victory of the Mexicans
against France in Batalla de Puebla in 1862. Many people believe that
the Fifth of May is the Mexican day of independence, but it is not
really. The Mexican day of independence is September 16 (1810, more than
50 years earlier).

A friendly hello to all Spanish-speaking Lowlanders everywhere!

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
