Hello all, hello Ron !

What I think about "Adelwolf" I already wrote and the other's postings
mention many facts that make clear it is a hoax. But for those who are
interested in further studies about the words in discussion:
_hel_ in Eastern Friesland we use häil / häiel* (German based
orthogr.:
heel)for "whole; very". "Healthy" can be "sund" but "elt" too. "Elt" is:
healthy, strong, full of power.
In German "gammeln" means "to rotten" or "to do nothing, to hang
around".
In Eastern Friesland LS we use "rötten"**(homonymous to "rats") but we
know
the word "gammelgh" with the meaning "to feel bad from one's stomach".
[* A little help because I believe the problems with special characters
in
my postings aren't solved yet: read h_a-Umlaut (a with two dots above)
_i_l / h_a-Umlaut_i_e_l. ** read: r_o-Umlaut_t_t_e_n.]

Dag beste taalgenoten,

De tekst van "Adelwolf" is onvervalst West-Vlaams dat nu nog gesproken
wordt
in West- en Frans-Vlaanderen. Het bijvoegelijk naamwoord "Gammal" is nog
zeer gebruikelijk voor oud en versleten. Verder moet ik u wijzen op de
bevindingen van een Franse diplomaat uit Wormhout die in de negentiende
eeuw
zijn dialecttaal herontdekt heeft aan de Krim. Nog verder is er een
Heulse
volksdansgroep die een Westvlaamssprekende groep dorpen ontdekt heeft in
Polen waar ze nu reeds jaren naartoe gaan. Nog verder zou men deze
oud-Vlaamssprekenden nog vinden in Cilisië het vroegere Carmania, maar
hierover heb ik geen aanknopingspunten, misschien is Adelwolf er één???
