I don't know where Dutch Reformed ministers are trained these days, however,
the two principal "Dutch" denominations (the Reformed Church in America and
the Christian Reformed Church) well known through their media ministries
(the Christian Reformed has a TV programme; the denomination seems to be
most prominent in the Grand Rapdis area of Michigan, and reflects a more
recent migration than the RCA which dates back to Colonial times and is
probably more prominent on the east coast, esp NY). The famous RCA churches
are Marble Collegiate (Norman Vincent Peale was its long time minister) and
the Crystal Cathedral where Charles Schuler preaches (and televises).
Neither church has much presence in PA, however. Here the German Reformed
Church (composed of German, German-Swiss, Franco-Helvetic, and [most
heavily] Huguenots [who'd come in via the Palatinate and had become
Germanised]) was dominant (it has now merged with an English "Reformed"
body, the New England-based Congregationalists, and is called the United
Church of Christ). I don't believe that the RCA (the denomination I suspect
is being referred to here) depends on Netherlands-trained personnel. Being
a rather standard HCP Reformed denomination, their ministers MAY be trained
at seminaries operated by other Reformed denominations (i.e., Presbyterian
or UCC). The Christian Reformed are a bit on th "fundy" side (a heavy
proportion are West Frieslanders) and likely train their own ministers at
their own seminaries.
