Hello all !
Since I had no problems reading Ron's test mails containing UNICODE text
with a huge variety of symbols including Cyrillic, Greek and at least
Hiragana/Kanji I thought the former problems with the display of "Umlaute"
and the macrons for EFLS in my postings won't arise any more but some days
ago I experienced them still being in existance when I sent an answer to Dan
Prohaska in Low Saxon. I don't know where the problem is but I tried anew to
find a solution by changing some system settings and therefore now I want to
run a test and ask for Your
replies.
The first of the following sentences doesn't make sense except for testing
reasons so
please don't try to understand but look if You can read the characters. The
second is cited from my reply to Dan.

1: eine hnliche gr ne Be r stete die Soe

2: Du must w iten, us j gd kikt up disser tel d l as up 'n minnerwerderg
burenprot fan lg sotsj l achten. Un di poerent, d i dat no leren un
proten, di b nt gaue weg so dr as s i tau d' sgauel ut bnt um dat s i
hier gin taukumst hebbent.

Kind regards
Holger
