Hello folks,

sometime ago, I asked for help for a project of building a search engine
prototype for Low Saxon.
I have now completed the "official" part of it that I did for a course at
Stanford University.
The result are encouraging. However, there is still a lot to improve and
hopefully I will find
some time for doing that. E.g. it is quite slow at the moment and the string
distance computations
should still be improved.

If you like you can take a look at
strunk.no-ip.org

As you may have guessed from the address, I don't use a real server right
now. I just have a small
server running on my own laptop, which means that this site will not be
online all the time. Just try
a little later, if it is temporarily unavailable. Another thing is that the
current prototype has indexed
website that I have saved to my local file system, i.e. the hits don't lead
you to the document in the
WWW but only to my local copy.

There you can also look at the project report, in case anyone should be
interested.
