asig süük was mit Breduljen vun de Gripp. Wi hebbt usen goden Fründ meist
verlaren! Avers, as dat lett, geiht em dat nu peu-Ã -peu beter. He kann man
bloots noch nich veel doon, ok nich veel schrieven, un wi mööt mit em Duld
un Düür hebben. Eerstmaal mööt wi em versnuven laten.

Folks,
     Today I had a telephone conversation with our dear, old friend Reuben
Epp (Kelowna, Canada) and found out that lately be has been very ill with
complication from influenza. In fact, we nearly lost our good friend! But
his health seems to be gradually improving now. However, he is not able to
do a lot at this point, which includes writing, and we must be patient with
him for now. It is important that he take things easy for the time being.
     2003 was a really horrible year for Reuben and his dear wife Irmgard.
On behalf of the entire List I wish them for 2004 the best of all good
things.
