Subject: Language perception

An example of how wrong language perception by journalists can be (stating
French is the language of Antwerp Jews).
Unfortunately this kind of journalistic "wisdom" is often recooked in
serious encyclopedias.

schrijfster van het artikel is blijkbaar nooit in Antwerpen geweest. Anders
had ze geweten dat de voertaal in de joodse scholen en de joodse gemeenten
Nederlands is en dat het plaatselijke joodse weekblad in de taal van Vondel
verschijnt[...]
