-log heeft te maken met 'liggen'.
oor iets met -oer, zal wel -ur zijn in jouw taal.
Dus zoiets: lange periode van vijandschap.
Een andere uitleg is ook mogelijk.

'oorig' kende ik niet. Ik zal hier lang over moeten
nadenken, zonder hulp van anderen.

Ik glööv', Fiete meen "arig", un dat is sachs verwandt mit nedderlandsch
_erg_ un ("hoog"-) düütsch _arg_.



In 'n Barg Dialekten an de Ünnerelv [Lower Elbe] un annerwägens wardt /aa/
meist as as [o:] uutspraken un (helaas!) ook as <o> ~ <oo> schräven.  Daar
wägen is dat bi 't Schrieven "oever d'n Paal" (<Pohl>) faken noch swarer
(<sworer>) to verstahn (<verstohn>) as bi de "normale" düütsche Schrievwies'
för us Spraak (<Sprook>).
