Hello Fiete,

I just looked it up in my "Webster"
warlock:old English "wærloga", one that breaks faith, the devil. From
"wær" (faith) + "leogan" (to lie).
In Flemish,we still know the words "woar"=  truth, and "lieg'n = to lie.
A word  that we also use is "woarzeggre" = someone  who predicts the
future.
