I read the BBC website.  However, I am not convinced.   A large scale
invasion and colonization by the Keltic Belgae took place not too long
before Julius Ceasar's invasion of Britain.  These people would probably
have been essentially genetically identical to the Frisians and others
who folowed.  Had a systematic ethnic cleansing taken place, we would
have heard some sort of echo of this in legends, songs, etc.  I am not
aware of any.
