First: Please apologize me for not having answered Your e-mail yet - I'll do

Now to "horseradish" in EFLS -
I'm sorry, but I don't know a name for it in EFLS. I only know its German
name "Meerrettich". It isn't quite common here and I don't know whether
there is an EFLS name for it at all but I'll do some research and will tell
You if I could find out something.
A look on www.blumen-evers.de - where a large and still growing list of LS
plant-names is published - shows the following LS names (with varieties) for
"horseradish":
Bölkwuddel
Mark
Marreddig
Marrik
Päperwuddel
Päperkruud
Peerreddik
Pierreddig
Traanwuddel
Tranenwuddel
Unfortunately Mr. Evers doesn't list the place of origin for the different
names.
Some time ago I proposed to him to do so and he then started to add this
information - possibly these are older entries where he cannot tell the
sources any more.
