A canna see nor dae A ken o ony dialects that disna hae a schwa in thon
poseetion in siclike wird’s.

Fowk can caw thair tongues roond ineetial <bl>/bl/ i.e. black but ettle tae

tongue canna dae ocht else ;-)

Folks, below you will find my translation of the poem into Danish.
I hope it is not all too wrong.

Cheers, and enjoy, Kenneth

Jeg bringer dem nyt:
hanhjortekrigeren brøler,
vinterens dråber falder,
sommeren er ovre;

kold den højlydte vind,
lavere solen,
kortere dens vej,
stormfuldt havet;

ørnebregnen, rødglødende,
har skjult sin form,
har som altid
overtaget gåseskræppene,

taget kulden til sig
fuglevingerne,
den isende tid ...
dette er mit nyt.

German:

   Ich habe Kunde für euch:
   der Hirschkrieger röhrt,
   der Winter strömt hernieder,
   der Sommer ist vorbei,

   kalt der laute Wind,
   niedriger die Sonne,
   kürzer ihr Pfad,
   ungestüm das Meer;

   der Farn, nun gerötet,
   hat seine Form verborgen,
   eignete sich wie gewöhnlich
   den Schrei der Gänse an,

   eignete sich die Kälte an,
   die Flügel der Vögel,
   die eisige Zeit ...
   Das ist meine Kunde.

And a wild stab at Russian:

   Вот новости для вас:
   олений воин ревет,
   падают зимние капли,
   лето уехало;

   громкий ветер холоден,
   солнце ниже,
   путь ее короче,
   море является бурным;

   орляк, покрасневший,
   скрыл его форму,
   присваивал, как всегда, крик гуся,

   присваивал холод,
   крылья птиц,
   ледяное время ...
   вот мои новости.

Suggestions and corrections welcome.

Reinhard/Ron
