Of course I would have some. When I started working for my agency some 18
years ago we were called the Texas Employment Commission. When George W was
the Governor here in Texas our agency was merged into parts of other
agencies and we became the Texas Workforce Commission. To my knowledge,
prior to that time "work force" was written as two words. We invented a new
word, I think. My department has just undergone a restructruing and the
collections department is now called Program Integrity. Here's a funny one.
We have a department that audits claims to make sure that everything was
done correctly. They take one claim and give it the "fine toothed comb"
treatment. Now, you might think that department would be named program
integrity, but it's not. It's called Benefits Accuracy Management which we
all call BAM. So, I guess when they find someone who got paid benefits when
they shouldn't have, they say "bam!" like Emeril on the Food Channel ;-)
