Yes- so I do often feel in myself.
It's very hard for me to continue in speaking my LS-dialect to people
answering in another dialect or even language, though they are well able to
understand me.

But- I don't aspect it to be a kind of damage. I guess it more to be a
psychological, behavioural pattern. You (I) always tend to come closer to
Your (my) vis-Ã -vis when speaking his language.
