Thanks, Ron! An a Guid New Year tae aabody! :)

Strangely enough they cancelled a lot of the street parties in Scotland and
the north of England, including the Edinburgh one, due to bad weather. But
as I went out first-footing after midnight it seemed to me to be the mildest
weather we've had at Hogmanay in a long time! However, there have been some
well sub-zero mornings recently and it was snowy and blowy all afternoon on
Hogmanay, I don't suppose anybody could have predicted that it would turn
mild just in time!

Another aspect of the New Year is New Year Resolutions. I resolve to open
more orthography discussions on Lowlands-L in future. Maybe :)

I watched part of that on TV, also heard the booing from the disappointed
crowd that refused to disperse.

As for the cancellations, I can just imagine the various conspiracy theories
flying around.

Good! Does this mean I'll have to dust off and polish my dancing shows?
;-)

Best wishes,
Reinhard/Ron
