Very fascinating indeed, this Yola-dialect.

I just found some possible ressemblances with western flemish.
The switch from "s" to "z" at the beginning of word is indeed very flemish.
- "Louthee", seems to be related with flemish (dutch) "luwte": the place
where one can be sheltered against the wind.
- "Moud" (crowd), makes me think about flemish (dutch) "meute"
- "Zeid" is exactly the same in westflemish.
- "Bibbern" (is the most fascinating one I think) is exactly the same in
westflemish.
- "stoane" is exactly the same in westflemish.
- "zin": in the northwest of Frenchflanders , they also pronounce the sun as
"Zinne".
