Subject: Etymology

Here's a wee speir till wir Scots spekers an deacons:

Whit's the odds (gin there's onie) in the bearin an eese o the wirds "alang"
an "endlang"?

Wi thanks afore,
Reinhard/Ron

I'm asking our Scots speakers and experts to explain the difference (in
meaning and usage) between the words _alang_ and _endlang_, both often
translated as 'along' in English (and the latter being directly related and
homographic with German _endlang_ 'along').

Reinhard/Ron
