Aloha bruddah Ron!
Pehea 'oe?

I've already tried requesting a version of the Wren in "da kine talk",
but alas to no avail! I'll try a few more sources.

Mike S

Ron wrote in part -

I'm hoping that all this talk will somehow result in a discussion about
Hawaiian (English-based) Creole and generate Hawaiian Creole and
Hawaiian language versions of the Wren story ...

P.S.: Ho, Mike! This is well deserved:

Mealoa'amakamae
(< *Mearoakamatamae)

loa'a (obtain, procure, discover, locate)
makamae (precious, treasure)
mea (doer, person [that does/is])

(_Mea makamae_ means 'treasure' in reference to a person.)
